This client was left her childhood home by her parents. The home was built in 1920 and when her father moved in as a kid it had no indoor plumbing. In our initial planning stages we realized the half bathroom next to the kitchen was actually jutting into the kitchen and taking up a good amount of space. Once we decided to give that space back to the kitchen, we created a beautiful, functional, L shape layout with a hutch and beverage center beside it in the dining room. We were able to take the laundry from the dining room and put it into the half bathroom. My client wanted very few wall cabinets, and for the space to feel bright and airy, while still being mindful of the history of the home. Our kitchen renovation project turned into a 4 room renovation, 2 rooms are shown in these photos. Bathroom and mudroom were also renovated.
