We have become a society of the "phantom vibration." You know the feeling, the ghostly tug at your pocket, the reflexive glance at a glowing screen during a lull in conversation, and the under, the, table squint that severs the thread of a shared story. We are physically present, yet digitally divided.

In our quest for constant connectivity, we have inadvertently invited a thousand strangers to the dinner table. We sit together, but mentally, we are miles away, adrift in a sea of notifications. Yet, at the heart of every home lies the kitchen, a space intended for nourishment, not just of the body, but of the soul. If the kitchen is the emotional pulse of the family, it must be protected. It must be a sanctuary.
The showstopper of KBIS 2026, a massive launch for the intentional home
True luxury isn't about more connectivity; it’s about the power to disconnect. After months in the making, Fabuwood unveiled a revolutionary breakthrough that stole the spotlight. We officially launched the InFocus drawer at KBIS 2026, marking a profound shift in intentional design.

What is the InFocus drawer?
The InFocus drawer is not merely a storage solution, it is a boundary. Designed and manufactured in the USA by Fabuwood and powered by FreePower’s award, winning wireless charging technology, it is a masterfully crafted drawer that creates a dedicated, intentional home for your devices, completely out of sight.
It is a seamless integration of high, speed, multi, device charging hidden within the world’s most thoughtful cabinetry. By embedding this circuitry inside the drawer, we’ve eliminated the clutter of messy wires and charging stations that compete for your attention on the countertop.
The InFocus backstory, a movement born of necessity
What is InFocus? It is a Fabuwood movement.
The movement began at Fabuwood headquarters when our CEO, Joel Epstein, noticed that "busy" had become the enemy of "intentional." Meetings were interrupted by pings, and focus was fractured by scrolling. He took a stand, installing dedicated InFocus shelves outside our conference rooms. The rule became our ritual, Phones stay outside. People stay inside. This evolved into "InFocus Time," dedicated hours where our team shuts out digital noise to engage in training and skill development. We saw the transformation in our own halls and realized we had a responsibility to bring that same clarity back to the kitchen.

The bridge, a partnership of values over convenience
Our journey to this moment wasn't a straight line, it was a test of integrity. At KBIS 2024, FreePower was the undisputed king, taking "Best in Show" for its revolutionary wireless charging. Naturally, a partnership was inevitable. However, as we designed our 2025 concept, we hit a moral wall.
Our initial designs placed charging pads right on the countertop. But we quickly realized that by putting the phone on the counter, we were inviting distraction to stay for dinner. We were leaving the "digital door" wide open.
Even though it meant walking away from a massive investment, we chose our values over a quick win. We told FreePower, "If the tech invites the distraction, it doesn't fit our mission."

The breakthrough
True innovation happens when two worlds collide with a shared purpose. Jake Slatnick, CEO of FreePower, didn't just walk away. He studied the psychology of our InFocus movement and realized the goal wasn't to reject technology, but to host it intentionally.
He came back with a revolutionary pivot, "What if the technology didn't invite the distraction, but hid it?" That was the birth of the InFocus drawer. By embedding FreePower’s award, winning circuitry inside the drawer, we created a space where devices are nourished in the dark, allowing the humans in the room to shine in the light.

The benefit, energy for you and your devices
The InFocus drawer offers a dual recharge. While your devices utilize FreePower’s high, speed surface charging to reach 100%, you are granted the space to recharge your own internal battery.
A family ritual: It creates a repeatable behavior shift. When the meal begins, the phones go in.
Aesthetic harmony: No more tangled cords or glowing screens disrupting your kitchen's design.
True presence: It reduces the "pull" of notifications without asking you to give up the technology you rely on.

Technical excellence
Integrated power: Seamlessly built into Fabuwood cabinetry with no visible hardware.
FreePower circuitry: Multi, device charging that works anywhere you "drop" the phone on the drawer surface.
USA crafted: Designed and manufactured with the durability and craftsmanship Fabuwood is known for.

The greatest present
Creation wasn't finished until rest was introduced. By building rest, true, digital rest, into your kitchen, you are choosing a healthier rhythm.
The greatest present is your presence.
