The 2026 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach: High-functioning art

Nobody tosses something valuable on the counter. Rather, they tuck it into a jewelry box.

Nobody tosses something valuable on the counter. Rather, they tuck it into a jewelry box. This year, at the 2026 Kips Bay Decorator Show House Palm Beach, we decided to build a kitchen that felt exactly like stepping into one.

Kips Bay returned to Florida and for the first time, the show expanded to two neighboring estates on North Flagler Drive, the waterfront Intracoastal House and the charming Palm Cottage. This "double the madness” approach or “double the design inspo” as Architectural Digest noted, allowed designers to push the boundaries of high-end kitchen design further than ever before.

At Fabuwood, we believe high-end design naturally cross wires. Our presence at Kips Bay proved that even the most functional spaces can feel like some posh, elitist art gallery.

The legacy of Kips Bay: Designing for a greater purpose

For over 50 years, this event has been the ultimate "Who’s Who" of the industry. Since its 1973 inception, it has raised over $34 million for the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club. By celebrating the pinnacle of a luxury kitchen remodel, we are simultaneously investing in the potential of over 11,000 youth through essential after-school programs.

In Palm Beach, the event specifically partners with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, ensuring that while we celebrate luxury, we are investing in the potential of the next generation. “Events like the Kips Bay Decorator Show House remind us that investing in the arts and investing in our youth go hand in hand,” said Jaene Miranda, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County in an article on Galerie.

Designer spotlights: Crafting the "jewelry box" aesthetic

We collaborated with Amy Lee McArdle, founder of Amy Young Designs. Born in New York and raised in Seoul, Amy’s background in international diplomacy (with degrees from Wellesley and Harvard) informs her "global-modern" luxury cabinetry aesthetic.

Amy coined the term "Jewelry Box" because of the room’s intimate, layered glow.

  • The vibe: "The Breakfast Club After Hours," a reimagined "Carrie Bradshaw kitchen" that feels like a boutique hotel, designed for morning espresso and moonlight cocktails.

  • The cabinetry: Echo in Oyster.

  • The why: Amy chose the Echo series for its 45-degree bevel and architectural poise. The Oyster finish acts as a chameleonic neutral, shifting depth with the Florida sun to bridge modern restraint and classic warmth.

  • The hidden gems: A floor-to-ceiling pantry houses small appliances to keep the counters "clean for the stage," while a 6-inch pull-out spice rack maximizes every millimeter of the 4,500-square-foot estate.

The Royal Retreat: Coastal poise by Lisa Erdmann Interiors

Lisa Erdmann Interiors delivered a masterclass in high society poise with "The Royal Retreat." Based in Palm Beach, Lisa brings a quintessential Florida perspective to her work. Her firm is celebrated for creating homes that feel like inherited legacies, where high-end kitchen design meets the disciplined elegance of old-world tradition.

  • The vibe: Mustique-inspired coastal elegance. Drawing inspiration from Princess Margaret’s favorite Caribbean getaway, the space features bamboo trellises and conch-shell pink wallpaper.

  • The cabinetry: Luna in Denim Blue.

  • The why: To ground a room filled with tropical patterns, Lisa used the deep, moody tones of Luna Denim Blue. It serves as the "anchor" for a bar meant for legendary soirées.

2026 Interior design trends: The new language of confidence

According to Veranda and KBB Magazine, 2026 is the year of Confidence.Whether you are installing luxury kitchen cabinets or reimagining a floor plan, the goal is a physical manifestation of personal identity. Our Kips Bay spaces reflect this shift.

Don’t wait for the gala to feel extraordinary. Put on your finest jewelry and dance a private ballet across your stone floors. The stage is set, and in a Fabuwood kitchen, even the most ordinary ritual is a royal performance.
